I have long asked

in light and darkness

how far I must travel

to reach you,

not to be lonely.

When all that was needed

were two steps only.

How many nights

I wondered about

what am I to you,

what are you to me,

whether I’m a flash

in your thoughts

or you are just

my faded glory.

Oh, how naive

how pointless to spend

yourself on earthly sorrows.

When life is just a game,

waiting around the corner

only two steps before us.

Dugo sam tražila

u svetlosti i u mraku

koliki put ima do tebe.

A potrebna su bila

dva koraka samo.

Koliko sam se noći pitala

šta sam ti ja, šta si mi ti

da li sam bljesak

u tvojim mislima

ili samo

senka moja ti si.

О, кoliko je to naivno

toliko besmisleno

trošiti sebe na

ovozemaljske jade,

a život je samo igra,

za okukom čeka

dva koraka dalje.
